NORTH SEA TRANSITION AUTHORITY JOINS THE ROUNDTABLE: ERNIE LAMZA TO BRING A REGULATORY AND TECHNOLOGY PERSPECTIVE TO ABERDEEN

We are pleased to announce that Ernie Lamza will represent the North Sea Transition Authority (NSTA), the UK Government body responsible for regulating offshore oil and gas and supporting the transition in the North Sea, at the IV International Roundtable on Technologies for Sustainability on 21 October 2026 at Maryculter House, Aberdeen.

Ernie is NSTA’s Technology and Engineering Manager. His work centres on the development and deployment of new and emerging technologies, and he engages regularly with operators, academic and research organisations, and the UK supply chain. His role is to translate industry needs into future technology requirements and to promote existing technologies that can accelerate wider deployment, in support of energy security, net zero and maximising economic recovery.

His contribution reflects a question central to the Roundtable: how technology moves from innovation to deployment. Ernie brings a view from the regulator’s side of that process, where the decisions on what is needed, what is ready and what can scale have direct consequences for investment and industry.

Ernie is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers. He holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering and an MSc in Technology Management, and a Certificate and Diploma in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors. He sits on the Technology Leadership Board and is a non-executive member of Peterhead Port Authority.

The Roundtable is organised by MBY Consultants and The FuturED Institute, in partnership with the International Green Trade & Commerce Association – The Green Chamber.

Registration is open. Places are limited.
