NIRMAL CHAUHAN JOINS THE TECHNOLOGIES FOR SUSTAINABILITY INTERNATIONAL ROUNDTABLE

Some of the most interesting sustainable technologies are not the ones that replace entire industries but the ones that solve very specific operational problems better. That is why we are pleased to welcome Nirmal Chauhan, Technical Sales Engineer at Intelligent Energy, to the Technologies for Sustainability – International Roundtable in Aberdeen on the 21st October.

Nirmal works with Intelligent Energy’s hydrogen fuel cell systems for unmanned aerial vehicles, supporting the integration of lightweight fuel cell technology into UAV platforms for a wide range of applications. What makes this particularly relevant to the Roundtable is the practical use of these technologies in sectors such as offshore energy.

Hydrogen-powered drones have the potential to operate for significantly longer periods than conventional battery-powered UAVs, creating new possibilities for activities such as infrastructure inspection, environmental monitoring and remote operations.

For floating offshore wind, that raises an interesting question: How can we use emerging technologies to inspect, monitor and maintain increasingly complex offshore infrastructure more safely, efficiently and sustainably? Nirmal brings the perspective of someone working directly with customers and partners as those technologies move from technical capability into real-world application.

At the Roundtable, we want to explore exactly those intersections: where engineering innovation meets practical need, and where technology can create new ways of working across energy, infrastructure and industry.

We look forward to welcoming Nirmal to Aberdeen and hearing his perspective on what it takes to turn emerging clean technologies into solutions that can be deployed in the real world.

The IV International Roundtable on Technologies for Sustainability is organised by MBY Consultants and The FuturED Institute, in partnership with the International Green Trade & Commerce Association, with institutional support from OEUK and the Nuclear Industry Association.
