THE IV INTERNATIONAL ROUNDTABLE ON TECHNOLOGIES FOR SUSTAINABILITY TO BE HELD IN SCOTLAND

The IV International Roundtable on Technologies for Sustainability will take place in Scotland for the first time, bringing together investors, companies, entrepreneurs, academics, researchers, and policymakers to discuss the role of emerging technologies in addressing global environmental and economic challenges.

The event will be held on 21 October 2026, commencing at 08:30 am, at the historic Maryculter House Hotel, located on the banks of the River Dee near Aberdeen. Dating back to the 13th century, Maryculter House is one of Scotland’s oldest hotels and is widely associated with the Knights Templar, who established a settlement on the site. Surrounded by the natural beauty of Aberdeenshire, the venue offers a unique setting that combines centuries of history with modern conference facilities.

Established as an international forum for interdisciplinary dialogue, the Roundtable explores how technological innovation can contribute to sustainable development. Previous editions have addressed topics including artificial intelligence, renewable energy, digital transformation, sustainable education, smart infrastructure, climate resilience and responsible innovation.

The Roundtable has previously been hosted in London at prestigious venues including the Caledonian Club, the Royal Air Force Club, and the headquarters of the United Nations Association – UK (UNA-UK), reflecting its growing reputation as a platform for dialogue on sustainability, innovation and international cooperation.

The fourth edition marks an important milestone in the evolution of the event, extending its presence beyond London and bringing the discussion to Scotland, a nation recognised for its leadership in renewable energy, research, higher education and technological innovation.
