ABERDEEN 2026 SEEKS THE NEXT GENERATION OF INNOVATORS

Applications are now open for speakers, universities, research centres and start-ups wishing to participate in the IV International Roundtable on Technologies for Sustainability, which will take place on 21 October 2026 at the historic Maryculter House Hotel, Aberdeen, Scotland.

The Roundtable brings together investors, entrepreneurs, companies, academics and innovators to explore how emerging technologies can contribute to sustainable economic growth, environmental responsibility and social development. Previous editions have been held in London at prestigious venues including the Caledonian Club, the Royal Air Force Club and the headquarters of the United Nations Association – UK (UNA-UK).

Over the years, the event has attracted a diverse international audience including university leaders, researchers, entrepreneurs, investors, diplomats, sustainability specialists, senior executives, innovation consultants, public sector representatives and professionals from international organisations. Participants have represented sectors such as higher education, renewable energy, technology, finance, sustainable trade, maritime affairs, business development and public policy. This multidisciplinary environment has become one of the defining features of the Roundtable, creating opportunities for collaboration across sectors and borders.

The organisers are particularly interested in hearing from experts and organisations working in areas such as artificial intelligence, renewable energy, climate technologies, digital transformation, sustainable finance, smart infrastructure, advanced manufacturing, higher education innovation and entrepreneurship.

Universities and research institutions are invited to showcase ongoing research, innovation projects and opportunities for collaboration. Start-ups will have the opportunity to present innovative solutions, connect with potential investors and strategic partners, and gain visibility among an international audience. Selected speakers will contribute to discussions on the future of technology, innovation and sustainability.

The 2026 edition aims to strengthen links between academia, industry and the investment community, creating a platform where ideas can be transformed into partnerships, projects and business opportunities.

Organisations and individuals interested in participating as speakers, institutional partners or start-up presenters are encouraged to contact the organisers and express their interest at the earliest opportunity.

Aberdeen 2026 promises to be a unique opportunity to connect with leaders and innovators shaping the future of sustainable technology.
