London, 09 February 2023 – FuturED is proud to announce that H.E. Natalia Royo de Hagerman, the Ambassador of the Republic of Panama to the United Kingdom, will participate as a special speaker in the International Roundtable “Technologies for Sustainability”

Additionally, we will also be honoured by her presence as a special guest at the International Gala “Education for Sustainability”, which will take place on Friday 10th of March 2023, at 19.00, also at the Caledonian Club

H.E. Natalia Royo de Hagerman studied journalism at New York University (NYU) in the United States and holds two master’s degrees in International Relations from Columbia University and the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain.

Her excellency the Ambassador Royo was Counsellor at the Panamanian Mission to the United Nations. There, she supervised the economic section and led the negotiations of the Development Agenda and the action programmes of the IV World Conference on Women, the World Summit on Social Development, and the UN Habitat Agenda.

Subsequently, she was the coordinator of the Rio Group, formed by 14 Latin American countries, and was in charge of reconciling the group’s positions within the United Nations and presenting them to the different commissions.

Ambassador Royo continued her diplomatic career at the Panamanian Mission to the Organisation of American States (OAS) during the XXVI General Assembly organised by Panama in June 1996. She also worked at the Permanent Mission of Panama to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) and at the Ibero-American General Secretariat (SEGIB) as an advisor for cooperation planning.

For FuturED and the GES Foundation, it’s an honour to have H.E. the Ambassador Royo de Hagerman. The background and perspective that brings with her significance will surely enrich the debates around sustainable development in access to education, teaching, academic design, and learning. As well as bringing valuable knowledge to help address the challenges that education is facing today.

The International Roundtable will take place next Thursday, 9 March 2023, at 8.30 at the Caledonian Club, in Belgravia, one of the most traditional districts of London.
