It combines the business-focused responsibilities of the former\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, with the former\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Department for International Trade<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0(DIT).<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to official sources, \u201cthe department brings together business expertise and world-class trade negotiators under the vision of making the UK the best place to start and grow a business &#8211; driving growth, increasing jobs, and raising wages and living standards. It amplifies engagement between business and government and strengthens our offer to international investors.
