CARBON NEUTRAL CERTIFICATION

Green Cross United Kingdom, inspired by and respecting the principle of “Climate Positive”, will carry out all the necessary actions to guarantee that the International Gala “Education for Sustainability” is Carbon Neutral -minimum-, for which it will address the compensation action, achieving a net positive impact by reducing and offsetting even more GHG emissions than those generated.

Green Cross United Kingdom (G+UK) has developed an initiative that has high-quality projects, on their own and in collaboration with different actors, dedicated to Climate Action, with scientific support, which creates co-benefits, aligned with the Principle of Climate Positive, in favour of the Sustainable Development of communities and the environment.

Among some of the characteristics of the projects that G+UK is developing are:

  • Additional benefit on GHG.

  • They are not overrated.

  • They are permanent.

  • Another entity does not claim them.

  • They are not linked to significant social or environmental damage.

Among the potentials are:

  1. Hathor Initiative in the Land Use sector: GHG Reduction Project in Food Production with a global scope.

  2. Tláloc Initiative in the Land Use sector: Microalgae GHG Absorption Project with a global scope.

  3. INDIA: G3S initiative in the Waste sector: Organic Waste GHG Reduction Project in India.

  4. COLOMBIA: Case applied in the Energy sector: Project for the Displacement of a more GHG-intensive production of Non-Interconnected Zones in Chocó, Colombia.

  5. MEXICO: Case applied in the Land Use sector: GHG Absorption Project in Natural Protected Areas in Hidalgo, Mexico.

  6. ARGENTINA: Case applied in the Land Use sector: GHG Absorption Project in Degraded Areas in Santiago del Estero, Argentina.

  7. COLOMBIA: Case applied in the Land Use sector: GHG Absorption Project in Degraded Areas in Amazonas, Colombia.

At the same time, Green Cross United Kingdom provides the technological confidence to follow and verify the projects developed in a traceable and safe way at any time and place. It should be noted that these will be implemented over the course of the next 3 (three) years, granting the corresponding certificates.
